Job description

The position will assist in leading the execution of gift assembly activities. This position is in direct supervision and leadership of approximately 55 full-time non-exempt employees and up to 225 seasonal employees at various peaks throughout the year.

Education requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required


Experience requirements

• 2 or 4 year degree preferred

• 2-3 years previous leadership experience in a production environment required

• Previous experience in production/manufacturing environments including a general knowledge of

packaging equipment

• Prefer Lean/ Continuous Improvement experience

• Must be able to work 4:00pm - 1:30am Sunday - Thursday, weekends required during peak season

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Organize and validate incoming work to assure timely production

• Set up work stations and assign positions

• Stage product to efficiently supply work stations

• Supply stations with product and packing supplies

• Ensure quality of product being packed

• Interface with shipping and receiving both catalogue & corporate sales

• Train, develop and motivate new and existing employees

• Complete daily paperwork

• Identify ways to improve processes and procedure

• Multi-task and adjust to changes in direction quickly

• Must be self-motivated and forward thinking related to planning and issue avoidance

• Take initiative to reach out to coworkers in other department to resolve issues at hand in a positive, timely and

productive manner


Special Requirements:

• Peak season require all personnel to make work a high priority and to adjust personal activities accordingly

• Must remain flexible in light of changing priorities within the operation and the enterprise


Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift to 30lbs as required

• Ability to stand and walk 8-10 hours a day



Skills

• Ability to lead personnel in a positive fashion and provide training and support where needed

• Sense of urgency with the ability to stay focused and organized in a dynamic environment

• Strong interpersonal and time management skills with the leadership to build a cohesive team
